December Update
WINTER RECITAL 2023
Despite windy weather and a fiery mixer, our wonderful students performed their absolute best! We could not be prouder. We also had our first Award Ceremony dedicated to “veteran” students. Despite some sickness and other factors that caused a few performers to drop out, we had an amazing turnout! Onlookers gave compliments and Dog & Pony left the door open to future events! Thank you to everyone for making this possible.
FINANCIAL CHANGES
(All good things!)
Unison Studios began expanding its offerings in June 2023. Since then, we have doubled in size to 32 students! It’s been a journey to reach this point, and there’s much more room to grow. None of this would be possible without the support of our long-term members. As a thank you for your continued support, the semester discount given to new clients will be the new standard.
Starting in January 2024 the rates will be the following:
30-minute lessons = $35 $140/month
45-minute lessons = $55 $220/month
1 Hour lessons = $70 $280/month
BUNDLES
In addition to the lowered rates, we are introducing BUNDLES in anticipation of the upcoming auditions for the Unison Band Program and beyond! Here is a brief rundown on how our first two bundles will work:
$60/bundle
Two separate 30-min lessons a week or One 45-min lesson a week
dependent on current availability for both the client and instructor.
Drum Bundle: Student’s Current Lesson + Drum Lessons
students can learn drums without having a drum kit at home to start.
Electric Bundle: Student’s Current Lesson + Guitar and Bass Lessons
Guitar/Bass are extremely similar and can be taught as one.
Moving forward, bundles will be how students can enroll in multiple instruments at a lowered cost. For now, we will only be offering the two aforementioned bundles to start. There will be additional bundles for Piano, Voice, and more in the future. Current students already enrolled in Drums or Guitar plus another instrument are not eligible to transition, yet. As growth continues, those particular students will have the opportunity to do so.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Speaking of growth! With all the new fall semester clients and those starting in the new year (welcome!), sending out friendly reminders regarding weekly payments will be a bit more difficult to keep track of. So starting in the new year, payments will be either Monthly (preferred) or Bi-Weekly. I believe this will be extremely helpful for everyone in terms of managing payments. Please reach out if there are any questions.
In January 2024, payments are to be made: Monthly or Bi-Weekly
In February, making payments online via our website should be available to all. The current options will still be available if preferred (Venmo, Zelle, Check, Cash).
UNISON BAND
We are excited to say we have the necessary instruments to create a band! The Unison Band will consist of a singer, piano, drums, guitar, and bass. Auditions will be held in May with more information given on how the audition process will proceed as we get closer. This will be considered an “Add-On”, so to speak, instead of an entirely separate lesson. As more students reach the required level to perform in a group, either more bands will be created or said students will be interchanging positions with the first band. Rock, Jazz, Pop, and more will make up the setlist!
Unison Band
$40/month
2 Saturday lessons, 45 minutes to an hour each.
Auditions in May, more details to come.
SPRING RECITAL
While months away, The Spring Recital will be in May. The exact location, time, and date will be given as we get closer.
